WOW! We already have 198 online entries for the 2009 Three Bridge Fiasco the last time I looked. I hope the winds are blowing as hard as they are today and everybody can be there for the race.

A couple of SSS business issues to take care of.

1) You do need to pay for your race entry before the deadline. Make sure that we have received payment online for your membership or race entry fee. The online membership payment page has just been put online at: https://event-manager.compete-at.com/Manager/club/membership.do?cid=180

2) There are several entries that still require PHRF certificates before we can accept the race entry. We are sending emails and calling people that haven't completed all the requirements. Doublecheck to make sure all your required race entry fields are completed at: https://event-manager.compete-at.com/Manager/event/home.do?eid=666

Thanks to all the SSS membership and 2009 Three Bridge Fiasco race entrants for their patience with our new online regatta manager system. With the volume of racers, this system is going to help us a lot with SSS race management.

As always, feel free to add your comments to the forum or send email to [email protected] with any SSS business related issues.

Membership is a DEAL!

Remember that if you are a member of SSS, you don't pay any per-race fees (except for the LongPac and TransPac). So after your third race with SSS as a non-member (at $45/race), it would have been cheaper to be a SSS member ($135). Such-a-deal!

Important Reminder: If you intend to show the SSS as your member-club for racing in a YRA race (even just one), you need to join SSS first and add the $25 YRA club fee to your SSS membership fee. (So you need to pay SSS a total of $160.) This club fee is passed on in full to the YRA at the end of the season. Also, this club fee is over-and-above the fees you pay directly to YRA for PHRF, membership, HDA, etc. Finally, if you pay the extra $25 and use SSS as your member-club for racing in YRA, you must stay active in SSS by racing in at least one SSS race that season or formally serving on at least one SSS race committee. We cross-check your participation with YRA. Nothing new here - nearly everyone was good about this in 2008 and the miscreants are in the process of settling up with us.
