This is the forum for the 2019 Great Pacific Longitude Race (the LongPac).

Race start is scheduled for July 3, which is going to arrive more quickly than one expects...
 
For those of us that are new to the SSS system I would appreciate a post detailing requirements for the race.
I understand the Norcal offshore racing council list but reading between the lines of previous longpacs it appears that there is a qualifying sail required and that there will be a mandatory skippers meeting. Maybe even a mandatory pre-race inspection. I’m coming from out of town to do the race so the sooner I know all those facts the easier the planning will be. Thank you
