Hello SSS Racers!
We wanted to share several things:
1) The Singlehanded Anything Goes North Bay race on April 22 will allow one "ghost" crew as a safety backup, so if you ever wanted to try singlehanding but were worried about what could happen in an emergency, now is your chance. Doublehanders, bring out your normal crew as a passenger!
2) At the Anything Goes race competitor's meeting on April 19 we will start the meeting with some Round the Rocks finishers to talk about that race. Come at 7:30 sharp to hear their tales of tough choices.
3) We'd like Anything Goes competitors to take advantage of the jibset race tracking feature to record their approximate track for subsequent discussions with other racers.
4) We are planning a raft up event after the race at Richmond YC as a great opportunity to talk to your fellow singlehanders about where you went, where they went, and where you should have gone. (Using the jibeset race tracker will help fuel those discussions.) RYC has a nice bar and kitchen, too.
5) If you would like to raft up post race and will need a guest dock or end tie, please reach out to the Richmond YC harbormaster who has to ask for registration and insurance info. Harbor information, including harbormaster contact info, is at https://www.richmondyc.org/about/harbor .
Thank you for racing with the SSS!
