BackBeat - Kevin Jones' Capri 25, Completes Qual off the Waters of Port Townsend

I started off thinking, qualifying in the waters off Port Townsend? That's not right. Ended up thinking, this is one tough guy. Great story, thanks for sharing.
 
I remember doing that same qualifier in November 2009, for the 2010 race. It was hell. I've never been so cold or so sleep-deprived for so long. Five years later, after sailing two SHTPs, Hawaii-Seattle, Seattle to Sydney, a Sydney-Hobart, and a bunch of other stuff, I still remember that qualifier as the most difficult sail I've ever done. Hats off to Kevin. You're going to have a great time racing to Hawaii.
