Here's YRA's posting:
"It is with heavy hearts that the YRA shares the passing of Bobbi Tosse, the long serving Treasurer of the YRA and an icon of Bay Area Sailing.
Bobbi served as the YRA Treasurer for well over 2 decades, steering us through financial ups and downs, making sure we were on track and our books had the i's dotted and the t's crossed. She ran races for us, with her cohorts at Berkeley Yacht Club, and most of all, was a friend to all of us here at the YRA who worked with her.
She was a true gem of a human, and will be missed by all her knew her."
I first met Bobbi in 1971 when we raced Coronado 25s. Since then Bobbi and I have worked together on the YRA Board and other SF Bay racing activities. Nancy and I saw Bobbi at the recent YRA Awards Party. She was wearing her oxygen tank, but appeared as peppy and cranky as ever. I'll miss her raspy voice on the radio at the Start of YRA and OYRA races. SF Bay racing is better for all of us because of Bobbi's labors.
