Here we go with the next SSS race for 2012: Corinthian Race Registration

The 2012 SSS Corinthian Race is April 7th.

The Corinthian Additional Sailing Instructions are posted. The SSS Standing Sailing Instructions list the important relevant restricted areas (section 14) and required equipment (section 8a). New charts will be included soon for the restricted areas with an update to the SSI. Do not violate the Richmond Long Warf restricted area. This should not be a problem for the Corinthian race but is still worth noting again and again and again... Any questions contact [email protected]

So, just wondering,

The Jibeset list of competitors, while regularly updated, isn't able to be manipulated in any way, and requires the user to hold down on the "Who's entered" button to view, effectively making that input useless. Geez, Matt, the BYC has better interface. Slap the JiveSet folks around, already! It's Thursday, and a comprehensive list of entrants, sortable by division, should be posted.

You know we cool wit' you, Matt, just wondering about how SSS is presenting themselves to the 130+ entries. That's large. SSS should be more together.

I've posted the latest division options for the Corinthian using jibeset: http://www.jibeset.net/racedoc/JACKY_T002906941fl1.html?t=1333736406
I was going to do this yesterday in the morning after the skippers meeting but Max was in there working on division splitting/merging saving me the time and effort.
The mouse over effect that shows all the competitors is cool but if it wasn't there, people would be forced to click on entrants to see the list.
Somtimes cool effects obscure GUI functionality. I don't mind the feedback since it may help us to make things work better. Thanks for keeping us honest Richard and have fun tomorrow.

Last year I remember the area between Green '3' and Peninsula Point being restricted. But I don't find any reference to this in the Standing Sailing Instructions or in the Additional Instructions for Corinthian race. Is this area restricted or not?

Thanks,
Tony

Additional information (boat name, sail number, skipper name, rating, fleet/division) for current registrations can be obtained by using the "Entrants" command on the Jibeset Regatta home page.

During the registration process, there is a link from the SSS website to this page - the same link as is used to register e.g. for the current SHF race - this link is "Farallones Race Signup Online Now" on http://www.sfbaysss.org/

This information is available throughout the registrations process.

The listing can be sorted in various ways and downloaded as a TAB separated file (.txt) for the technically inclined.

The fleet/division is that requested by the Racer and may be changed by the RC when they come to doing the final fleet splits.

The final Fleet/Divisions/starting flag assignments are posted on the Jibeset Regatta home page once the RC has completed their review process.
