Gone Sailing Videos

You can borrow my GoPro and record HOURS of this stuff! I gave up after no one wanted to watch it.

Oh, but according to the viewing record, 49 people have watched this. And you watched it. So did Carliane. Why not? I would watch a video of Ragtime! on the water any day. Or even in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. And I have a Sony camcorder but it fogs up. I'm hoping other singlehanders will post here. I was thinking of the sign in the window "Gone Fishin". Using my iphone was so easy! I timed it, and it took me only nine minutes to post this via the software that came with Windows 7 and then uploading it to Vimeo. All free. Go Pro and my Sony require more time. Don't lose heart! Post here! My next post will be even more exciting!

How about a Pacific Cup? It's doublehanded but if it was singlehanded there wouldn't have been a video! Thanks to Tracy for putting this together!

RAGS does the 2014 Pacific Cup

Here's one of RAGS rockin' at the OYRA Jr. Waterhouse. Matt Beall did the driving. I take credit for the broach at 2:30.

2013 Jr. Waterhouse - DH Division Win
Yes those are both nice. I don't know why you think no one watched them. There are single-handed sailors all over the world. Where is that guy who posted from Sweden? Hey, you! Yeah, you! How about a little post from your smart phone? I learned how to fly my spinnaker from a short video by a fella who did it in on a lake in about 4 knots. Of course here in the sf bay I had to go out early on a winter day to get that, but I really appreciated it! Now. What have you done for me lately?

"Not exciting enough" you say? How about rounding Blackaller in the 3BF?

Trusting your autopilot in traffic.

You can wait for the end to see if I clear the jib and spinnaker sheets. In the next segment I stow the spinny bag - wow!

Okay, you win!

You really should get rid of that pole thingy on the mast - it doesn't seem to be helping.

You call that a broach? This is a broach.
I really should edit it down ... add music ...

Naw, keep it just like it is. You never cussed, you stayed calm, you got feet and boom wet, you smiled and waved at the camera, you pulled it all together right next to the North Tower. Music would just give it a ring it doesn't deserve.

Bob, it's good you said where to look for that broach otherwise, I would have missed it. How do you guys remain so calm? I was looking for feet in the water ;)
