Pardon the duplicate post - the part of the thread title that I wanted to stress doesn't show up on my screen.

The skippers meeting for the SSS Corinthian Race is Wednesday March 30, 1930 hours at Oakland Yacht Club. We'll go over the do's and don'ts for Saturday's race.

Following that, Jim Quanci will give a presentation on ocean racing in general and OYRA in particular. You've probably seen Jim's immaculate Cal 40 Green Buffalo in SSS ocean races. I know he regularly cleans my clock. Here's a sampling of Jim's outline:

* What it's like beyond the gate - the feeling and emotions of being on the ocean
* OYRA race options - Full and Daylight
* The Classes - Crewed and Short Handed
* Boat Prep - MOB gear, Pyrotechnics, EPIRB, skipper responsibility, etc
* Story of the ocean race I turned around
* Story of the ocean race I should have turned around
* OYRA is here to help
* Stepping stone to Hawaii and beyond
* Q&A

Come on out Wednesday for Jim's talk, even if you're not entered in the race this weekend. Hope to see you there.

Max
