Half Moon Bay Race RESCHEDULED for Sat. Sept 26

We are rescheduling the 2020 Half Moon Bay race for Saturday Sept. 26th. This is the best option with reasonable tides and calendar availability. There will be no major changes to the race format or SIs. First start will be at 10:00 off the Golden Gate YC.

Racers who registered for the Sept. 12th race will not be required to re-register. Registration will be opened on Jibset for additional entrants. If you registered for the Sept 12th race and do not wish to register for the Sept. 26th rescheduled race, please email the RC at [email protected]. There will be a Zoom skippers' meeting on Thursday Sept. 24th at 7:30 PM.

We anticipate some level of access to the Half Moon Bay outdoor facilities on Saturday night, details to follow.

Won’t be there, helping with express 27 nationals. Seems like 3 oct better.

9/26 has the slack before ebb at start time. 10/3 has the slack before FLOOD at 0900. After last year's debacle getting out the Gate, I agree with 9/26.

But we'll miss you guys.

Glad i checked the forum! Jibeset still has no notice of the re-schedule (or even the cancelation), and I haven't gotten an email about the reschedule. Unfortunately can't make this date, but hope everyone has a great race!

Did anyone receive a Zoom invitation for tonight's Skippers' Meeting? It's in 15 minutes.

I sent Tom a note a few minutes ago. Standing by...

Update: Tom says the Zoom meeting didn't get scheduled as intended. I suggested he update us here with any changes to the race.

ahhhh Okay. Really just wondering what if anything is happening in HMB (and if the HMB YC "island" is open for mooring stern to). And... any thoughts on the wave state...

Are you looking at this? (From the NWS) "A large long-period swell will arrive tonight and continue through Friday. Forerunners of 18 to 20 seconds are possible today before the larger northwest swell of 9 to 12 feet at 14 to 18 seconds is expected tonight and Friday."

I sent Dave Morris (in the hat up above) an e-mail asking if there are any changes from what he said at the last meeting. Will post here when I get a reply.
