I just love competing against such a great group of excellent sailors!

HMB was a great race, and very challenging as usual. …
Loved the Committee Boat Starting line on the main bay…

Big winds in the bay, and light winds down the coast, (stay away from Pt. Montera! - I got too close!) and spinnaker set (did not go well for me – took 45 minutes to get it set, the sock got caught on my upper main batten, drat– then tore it on my bow anchor!) and jibe for finish, and taking my “Time” at Colorado Reef Buoy and Finish Buoy (sure do hope committee could read my writing) – had my hands full.

This was one of the most difficult SSS races for me, I’m still sore this morning, should be all better by the end of this week!

Thanks everyone for a great race.

Late last night I discovered a glitch in the TOT formula. It has changed the results slightly from what was announced at the party.

(Why it's always risky to distribute awards based on preliminary results.) Sorry about that. Cliff and Dirk were the biggest beneficiaries of the fix!

You're welcome! Here's Bullet being well-sailed by her new owner.

I'm not nearly as good at this as Larry, but I'll post the decent ones:

This may not be the best place to post this notice:

I misplaced a new jib sheet at the HMB race raft up. I was tied up between Raspberries and Taz. I had the job sheet on the foredeck and believe it may have been used when the boats were being secured to the dock and the several other boats, all docked Med. style. I left prior to sunrise and was not paying close attention to line colors as I untied my boat, and fear I left the line behind. If someone has an extra, one month old, sheet, white with green and red fleck, please let me know.

Thanks,
Brian

I saw that line. Dura Mater left just before Dave and Kevin and it was still on the dock. No one knew who it belonged to. Hopecully someone at the club put it aside. I'll bet Dave Morris knows where it is.

I spoke to Dave M. He was going to look into it upon his return. Do you happen to recall the name of the large boat next to Taz ? I think she was the largest in the raft up.

Galaxea was at one end, and then Charlie Jeremias' trimaran, and then Larry Vito left just before Dura Mater. The jib line was on the deck @ 10:30ish.

Thanks,

I will let Dave M know. I sent an email as well to the HMB team and am waiting a response.
