In Hanalei Bay

Philpott

Cal 2-27 Dura Mater
Do you know what to expect when you arrive in Hanalei Bay? Well, there are no docks, no slips and no waterside bars. However, after sailing many many miles for many many hours, you will be greeted by the SSS race committee with the drink of your choice. The crash boat du jour will meet you, you will be asked if you would like help lowering your sails, we will help you anchor, then you will be escorted to the Little Yellow House.

That is true. Even when you arrive in the middle of the night in the rain. One of my favorite pictures of Lightspeed safely anchored in Hanalei Bay 2014

I call PhotoShop! And how did Jackie know that a BK soda is my drink of choice? I guess it will have to be from Bubba's instead.

In related news, I got the "2 for $6" deal at BK yesterday. I left the second chicken sandwich in its bag in the dock cart. A seagull swiped it when I wasn't looking and left it spread all over the dock, rejected. Maybe I should improve my lunch choices (and protect them better)!

Even the gull knows the old programing adage . . .

* Garbage In Equals Garbage Out! *

Oh dear! And Jibeset says the $150 "intent" fee is non-refundable. Whatever shall I DO???

Is Bubba's Burgers still there?

With regard to bars. I clearly remember there was a bar somewhere within staggering distance of the beach. If you can stagger sucessfully for a thousand feet or so you'll be good, however I suggest everyone begin training immediately.
