iPhone Marine Navigation

The new software update for existing iPhones and the new iPhone 3G S have provided low wattage navigation upgrade capabilities. See the Panbo blog for a slide show of the various apps, and learn even more from the reader comments to that blog post. Any of you using this stuff yet? Posting to the Panbo blog, as well as here would help us all.

iPhone Navigation

One of my crew has an iPhone and downloaded Kahn's free program. We only used it inside the Bay, but it put our "dot" in exactly, albeit teensy tiny, the same spot as the wide screen HD chart plotter. I wonder about how many electrons it eats, though.
