SHTP or PacCup Sailors,
A Sat phone is an extremely useful form or communication, especially in times of crisis (like a dismasting....or the need to use that dreaded life raft). I have 635 minutes available on my Sat phone, and no real need to use them. If you are doing either TransPac, particularly with a return sail, and would like to have this effective mode of communication with you, this is a good deal. If you are only going one way...... probably not.
I used the phone on the 2008 SHTP and kept the minutes active in the event I would use them in 2010.
If interested, write me at: [email protected]
GOOD LUCK TO ALL TRANSPACERS!!! It's a GREAT race, and creates a lifetime of memories.
