Jacklines

Last night we talked about tubular nylon from REI for jacklines... unfortunately it doesn't make the grade... only 4000# strength.

Other options:
2" wide flat nylon (not tubular) has 5500# breaking strength
2" polyester has better stretch and moisture performance, with 10,000#, and 1" polyester has only 3500#.

The supplier below sells by the foot, $.60/ft for either 2" item above, which is under 1/2 the price of West's finished product (which by the way, seems to be out of stock for the desirable lengths). Don't get polypropylene, by the way... not strong. I didn't spend much time hunting, so maybe there's a 1.5" supplier out there?
