LongPac 2009

Just curious, who's thinking about it? If you haven't done one yet, it's not too early to starting making those first "to-do" lists.

I won't be going, more's the pity, barring small miracles.

I'm 70% sure that I'll do it doublehanded. I'm thinking doublehanded Pac Cub for 2010 and the LP would be a good shakedown.

I won't be racing, but I may volunteer for RC duty. It's difficult to predict my schedule for next summer. Have the dates of the race been set yet?

July 29 - Aug 4. All our 2009 race dates are posted at the "Calendar" link on the front page.

I'm planning on doing the LongPac myself, but I haven't broached the subject with my boat partner yet ...

If anyone is in the fast track for the 2010 Transpac, including the 2009 LP,and just needs a boat that is ready to go, Travieso is up for sale. Check the classified forums. Travieso is loaded with all the gear, and if your plans are the TP I have even more gear (liferafts, EPIRBs, solar panels) that I could negotiate into a final price.
