LongPac SSB test / chat Sat and Sunday

N/M 45 Tiger Beetle
As per discussion at the LongPac skipper's meeting, we will be holding two SSB radio checks this weekend:

Saturday June 15 noon PDT on 4.021.0 MHz and 4.027.0 MHz

Sunday June 16 1800 PDT on 4.021.0 MHz and 4.027.0 MHz

The frequencies are USB (upper sideband) simplex (send and receive on the same frequency). Folks will most likely need to program the frequencies into their radios, as these are not commonly used frequencies - that's why they were selected by Mike Jefferson many years ago.

For details on the USCG NavCen HF radio frequencies and channels, you can read about them here:
http://www.navcen.uscg.gov/?pageName=mtHighFrequency

Look to see everyone on the radio this weekend!

Heard on the radio Saturday noon:

Condor
Coyote
Even Keel
Humdinger
Rainbow
(and Tiger Beetle)

and remembered that it is useful to press the TUNE button on the Icom M802, elsewise other folks find it difficult to hear you.
