Some people are asking me when is the mandatory skippers meeting for the LongPac. It is Wednesday, June 29th.
You will get your transponder for the race, we will go over the communication plan, we will go over the class splits, we will talk about expected weather for the race (though the race is still seven days out), and answer all questions. I'd would have liked to do this meeting on the Monday before the race (so we can better predict the weather), but that is the 4th of July! Maybe not a good night for a meeting. We will have a rough idea on the 29th and we will have two or three race vets talk about the different weather patterns we can expect. Of course, Stan will do a great job on this as well on May 12th.
