Norton Smith: SHTP 1978

If anyone wonders why Norton Smith won the first SHTP in 1978 in his Santa Cruz 27 with no self-steering except sheet to tiller, and handsteering, watch this excellent film. Upstream for 55 days in an inflatable canoe, much without current maps or I-Pad.
