Cree Partridge at Berkeley Marine Center wants this cute little boat gone. Original everything.

The Electra/Ensign is a terrific, stable boat for the bay and the Delta. Cal Sailing taught hundreds of people to sail on 'em. Including me. If you are interested, call BMC, ask for Cree: 510.843.8195

That’s an ELECTRA not an ENSIGN. Same hull but different deck with a self bailing cockpit and cabin. Rubin knows an ELECTRA intimately. ENSIGNs have a cult following in the North-East similar to how Moore 24’s get restored here. It’s actually a really sweet sailing boat.

P.S. Love those South Coast winches. They work and can be rebuilt.

Oh my. Aint no such thing as a free boat.....

Truer words were never spoken. The ones you buy aren't a great deal either.

But this would be a manageable project for a DIY'er, and would result in a solid, great-sailing little boat.
