Preliminary 2017 Calendar

Racers ....After working with YRA here are the preliminary SSS dates for the 2017 calendar…The final overall calendar will be decided early November…We do not have much wiggle room, and I do not want to open a can of worms, but if we are missing a major conflict sure would be good to know about it now….Comments/concerns?

Three Bridge... Jan 28th....Need GGYC OK
Corinthian...March 18th..CYC…OK
Round The Rocks...April 15
Single Handed Farallones....May 20th...Need GGYC OK
LongPac July 6th – 9th
Drakes Bay YRA Aug 26, 2017...CYC OK
Half Moon Bay Sept 16....Need HMBYC OK
Vallejo 1-2 Oct 21-22....VYC OK
 
Thanks Rick. It mostly looks good, but I think BobJ may be kinda busy around the date of Round the Rocks. ;-)
More seriously, the LongPac always used to run Wednesday through Tuesday, which allowed most boats to finish on the weekend (when it's easier to find volunteers) and even slow boats to finish before the cutoff. Starting Thursday means that very few boats will finish Saturday, and many boats won't make a Sunday cutoff.

I'll notify HMBYC about the Sept 16 date and see if anyone has a concern. That third Saturday of every year is Coastal Cleanup Day, but any activities at the club would be over by noon or thereabout.

Freudian Slip...2015 started on a Thursday and I think I finished on a Sunday...I am flexible and we can adjust start and finish I mainly just wanted to grab that weekend....I am also looking for a LongPac chair/pro
 
Hey, it's Carliane. I checked with HMBYC and they're good with Sept 16. It should be posted to the calendar any day now.

Is this the most recent 2017 Race Schedule? I'm looking at the Farallones and Drakes Bay race dates.
