Raymarine X5 remote control failure mode

While you are out there, note that if your remote wireless box attached to the X5 fails, it may put the entire X5 auto pilot into failure mode.

Just disconnect the remote wireless box and your X5 will work again.

In LongPac 2013 , my wireless remote control box acquired some moisture and resulted in complete auto pilot failure, luckily on my way back.

I found all this stuff out after having it repaired with Sea Power in Oakland.
