Hello, SSS Racers!
I could use your help.
We have a race on April 27 that is aimed at helping beginners start singlehanding in the South Bay.
The last (and first) time we ran this in the South Bay, the start and finish was at NAS 1.
To do the same this year, or even to do something different, we need a boat that can be anchored out all day in moderately deep water and perhaps a fair bit of wind, current and chop.
If anyone has a boat we can use, please say so.
An ideal RC boat would have a good windlass and be berthed at South Beach or Ballena Bay. The boat does not have to be big; I think we can run this race with four volunteers as long as they're willing to sit at anchor all day for you, so even a Santana 22 should be fine albeit wet.
Please send email to racechair @ sfbaysss if you're able and willing to help us out.
Thanks!
