Hello, SSS Racers.

Happy New Year.

I wanted to remind people that tomorrow, Friday January 3, is the end of YRA's "guarantee" to have a PHRF certificate in time for the Fiasco registration cutoff. YRA says skippers applying after that "may have their certificate by" the cutoff. Sign up on jibeset at https://jibeset.net/YRA000.php?RG=T035469394 .

Of course the best reason to get a certificate is to sign up for the famous SSS Three Bridge Fiasco, the biggest crazy-fun regatta on the West Coast. Please register now for that too, at https://jibeset.net/JACKY000.php?RG=T006291399 . By registering for that now, instead of later, you give us more time to review all the registrations. You also save a $10 late registration fee.

If you do NOT plan to race Fiasco, please consider signing up for race committee --- we need more volunteers. The board voted for me to give out shirts at the event, and I think they'll be very nice ones. But I have to get the order in by January 8, so I can only do shirts for people that commit to volunteering by January 7. Half day (roughly 6 1/2 hour) shifts and all day shifts are available. Send email to racechair at sfbaysss.org and I'll send you the google form for shift, shirt size and sandwich preference.

Last but not least, please confirm your sails have numbers that match the rules of Appendix G. It'll make it easier on us (and every other race committee) to score you.

Thank you for racing with SSS, and I wish you a safe and successful 2025!

Richard
