Save Clipper cove

Below is what I received from the Campaign to preserve more space at Clipper Cove Marina. There is a sailing school there that is getting squeezed for water space - future solo sailors. I shot short emails to the Boating and Waterways Commission at the bottom.

------------------------------------
Here's a quick update on the campaign to save Clipper Cove and an opportunity to help today and/or tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, the California Division of Boating and Waterways Commission will be voting on whether to endorse a $21 million loan application submitted to the State’s marina loan fund by Darius Anderson – the lead investor in the marina developer group. And the meeting will be webcast live! http://www.cal-span.org/

A number of groups, including Save Clipper Cove, have sent letters asking that loan consideration be deferred until the developers put forward a reasonable marina proposal (their current proposal would take 1/3rd of the Cove, yet would eliminate all berthing for boats smaller than 40 feet!).

So, now we are asking folks to reach out individually. For those who tweet, below are some tweets you can consider re-tweeting today and during the meeting early tomorrow morning, as well as the twitter handles for some key DBW commissioners. This is a great way to let Commissioners know people are watching how they vote.

For those who email, the best thing would be a very short message to let them know a lot of people are counting on the Commission to do the right thing. And you can point to the campaign Facebook page. Email addresses below.

Thanks in advance for your help!
