SHTP Seminars 2025

Hello!
Below is a schedule of seminars geared toward preparing for the 2025 SHTP

Last time around, we found that the zoom format worked well, particularly for those from outside the bay area.
It also helps that they can be recorded. An Archive of 2022-3 seminars can be found here

So, we're sticking with that, for now... I'm sensitive to the desire to have more FTF interaction; if we can find a venue & technology for a hybrid version we can switch to that.

The Intent-to-Enter fee is due 10/31. There are still just two entries, both multihulls.

Is anyone else planning to race to Bali Ha'i next year?

I was going to wait until I finished my qualifier, but hey, I'm all for saving 50 bucks!

See you in Hanalei Bay__/)__

Sounds like the live meeting is likely getting cancelled on short notice, AGAIN. This scheduled speaker who had lots to share physically in person won't be presenting as I don't have a cam and hate ZOOM meetings. I made a long drive last week only to find out there was no planned meeting that night.

Seminar #1 will be Zoom only, regrettably

To Greg's perfectly valid and understandable annoyance, yet another scheduling debacle with the venue will force us to do this first meeting via Zoom.
I will do my best to muddle thru the emergency rudder topic, but it will lack the irreplaceable ability to reach out and touch the various examples Greg has assembled.

Once we can sort the venue scheduling, the plan is to continue the series in a hybrid fashion, with in-person meetings and an accompanying virtual zoom meeting for those out of the area.

With that said, here are the meeting details for tomorrow evening

Singlehanded Sailing Society is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
