Slip/berth before/after race

Good day,
I have not completely ruled out this event. With Double Espresso in Santa Cruz ... And my inexperience with taking the rig down ... The alternative is to sail/motor up. What are options to keep the boat before and after the race, I would think close enough to be at the start time on time?
 
Motor on up and dock at the GGYC or Municipal Marina (closer walk to Safeway). GW used to commute up for lots of races in his Santa Cruz 27.
