Only used a few times, speaking with people thousands of miles a way. Also spoke with a boat sailing/racing to Hawaii. Was in San Francisco, near the Giants ballpark, speaking to boat 1200 miles away. Clear as a bell. The only ground plain was to the engine.
I removed it for lack of use. I do not plan to do any trans-pacific trips. Previous owner installed it for a Transpac race which he never did.
