I was on RC for Spring Dinghy on Sunday and one of the organizers of a doublehanded race stopped me to ask me to advertise his event a little. So:
St Francis is trying something new this year: a July 29-30 race that will require a mixed-gender doublehanded crew and go for approximately 24 hours. It's intended to be an offshore race that sends boats on laps out the gate. To get a 24 hour duration, they'll changing the course as people are racing to make it the right length.
EG, take Outsider back and forth to the the Duxbury Reef three times if it's windy, twice if the wind dies.
If interested, see NOR at https://www.stfyc.com/default.aspx?p=.NETEventView&ID=3871311.
