The Bullship Race: The Ultimate Singlehanded Race

Philpott

Cal 2-27 Dura Mater
Last year Bob Johnston motorsailed us over to Sausalito so I could take photographs of this race. Itty bitty El Toros race from Sausalito to the St Fancy and then everybody stands around and drinks Irish Coffee on the lawn.

If you're on the water on April 26 keep an eye out. The water is swarming with little kids and big kids crossing in front of the Gate.

Great fun to watch, and highly competitive. Imagine Gordie Nash folded into an 8' boat with one sail. Yeah. That kind of race.
