1. mess 'o SOLAS flares, good until well after the 2010 SHTP. I forget what's in the box, but there's a bunch of red parachute flares, smoke signals and some handhelds. PM me or get in touch if you're interested. Figure I'll ding you about 1/3rd less than buying new. Buy 'em all and you get the nifty waterproof ammo box with 'em.

2. complete emergency rudder system...The foam core/knytex and carbon blade slides into a plywood and glass cassette, reinforced with unidirectional carbon. It *Works*....it's not a pretend rudder, this works, I tested it quite thoroughly in the Bay and in the Slot in big chop before the 08 SHTP. Ultra-lghtweight, it isn't but it's not too bad. Suitable for 26-32 foot boats....probably won't do it for a 40 footer, and a bit much for a Moore 24..

Emergency Rudder

Alan, I'm interested in the emergency rudder. I'm sailing a Wyliecat 30 (5500# empty) - do you think the rudder is adaptable?

Yes, though you will need to install brackets.. I have one other guy "in line" ahead of you but if he doesn't work out I'll give you a call.
