Unable to make the SHTP but still may sail from SoCal

Hi all,
Circumstances have left me unable to get my boat to sfo in time for the start, but still considering sailing from SoCal anyway. I heard there may be others doing the same? Hoping all of you have a great 2016 SHTP !

Sorry you're not here but hope you are able to sail to Hanalei from SoCal anyway. Hopefully the General is still planning on doing the same. You won't want to hear this but Margi said last night that she had a perfect weather window about the time you were still in the yard and she made the trip up in 2-1/2 days. Maybe I shouldn't have told you.
