At a recent seminar, there was mention of a Sven's shopping night exclusively for SSS members prepping for the Transpac. Any more informations on this would be appreciated, and if you need someone to initiate and coordinate, I can do that.

Great idea, Joe! I spoke w Kelly at Sven's about this and she said the fella who used to organize these sorts of things has left, but someone else will step up as needed. She did say that Sven's is pretty focused right now on preparing for the boat show in April, and she encouraged me to wait, because, she said, everything is WAY less expensive at the boat show.
 
I can provide some help. If you have a pretty good shopping list to deal with I can offer you the use of my wholesale account at Svendsen's.
