Thanks, Bob. I knew about renting. But at $200/month had hoped for a less costly backup. I recently was able to buy an Iridium 9505A on Craigs List for $900, so am good to go. However, primary com, GRIBs, Wx Fax etc. will remain via SSB radio/pactor 3. ~sleddog
