Anyone freezing some of their water?

Hi All,
I know we end up with less water when it is in ice form but was wondering if anyone ever freezes some of their water prior to the trip. We've got 2 6 gallon and 2 9 gallon removable water tanks and was thinking of freezing 1/2 the water so that we may have some cold water and some cooling of the boat interior.

I'm going to freeze one or two bottles and put it in my mini-"icechest" to keep the sandwiches and fresh fruit coldish for 2-3 days.

Yikes! On the front page of the forum, the title of this thread was truncated to "Anyone freezing some of their ..." Anybody else mentally complete the question the same way I did? That's planning for all contingencies ...
