I did a double-take when I spied the singlehander's best friend, vise grips, floating in mid-air. Clamping something broken? An emergency reef pennant?
Took me a second to realize: a funnel for catching rainwater when being underway makes a cockpit tarp unwieldy and there's an idle foresail seeking purpose. Clever.
