Thanks for the explanation...it makes sense to me. It is good to to sort out the difference between rated and observed performance and to know the reasons why the difference is so large. My fear was that the rated performance numbers were somehow inaccurate, or that my understanding of system (panel, controller, etc.) performance was somehow invalid.
On the best of days (ideal temp, ideal orientation, perfectly clean, etc.) what kind of performance do you observe from your system...as a percentage of rated capacity?
