Hello, SSS Racers, and former racers!
In the aftermath of the SSS Round the Rocks race, I thougth hard about why I did not postpone sooner.
Some of it is personally addressable --- I've bought more weather subscriptions that I'll be learning how to use throughout the year.
But the big one is that I could really use some consistent volunteers that could offload some important jobs from me. Most notably the "timer" role. Timer is hard, so I've been doing it, but it's something I should really delegate to focus on the big picture.
So if you're interested in being a part of racing by being a part of the race committee for all the races, instead of being on your own boat, please send email to racechair @ sfbaysss.org. If you have a lot of race committee experience, great. If you have no race committee experience, that's fine --- we all start from no experience --- and we'll train you.
