A rigger for a few hours would be much less than renting a huge commercial lift.

Now we are back online...

Yea, that was what I finally concluded after thinking about it while the site was down.

But the Stockton sailing Club out here on the Delta has the perfect set up. There's the classic 2 ton crane right next to the seawall. Excellent access to the seawall edge. And a lot of smaller boats in the harbor. I'll bet I could get a few of them to participate. Also there is a Home Depot rental a mile away...oh well.
