Olson911s "Elusive"

Funny story - In 2001(?) we were racing TROUBADOUR in the Ditch Run. We were close in speed to the O-34's, E-34's etc. and were neck-and-neck with several of them going through Suisun Bay. It was blowing through there as it often does that time of year, and the channel is pretty narrow.

OZONE and the others were closer inshore and racing for pink slips. They all hit the mud at the same time, with masthead spinnakers pulling hard. We skated on through and did pretty well.

The word of the day is schadenfreude.

For anyone interested in the 911s Elusive, from Norman:

We are going to list it for the same money, 29,500.

Mechanically and structurally I think it is sound, the owner spent a lot on it over time, it just had some new keel bolts put in last year and he has always kept it race ready.

Cosmetically it is a D+ to a C-.

When we clean it up a bit it will be a C. Needs a little TLC.

From a race boat perspective I think it is a good boat.
