There was an error in the SIs, the trophy meeting is on Wednesday, April 29, as previously posted on the Racing Page.

Well I would have gone, but I was taking the non-sailing daughter on holiday for her spring break -- which I cut short specifically to make the RTR. Plus, even getting one crew might not be so easy!

And really, this is the wrong forum to look for a defense of BAMA's DHF policies.

Other than the fetishism of DSC, the current equipment reqs are less burdensome than when I first prepped my boat to do OYRA races about 5 years ago.

Absolutely right - OYRA's list in 2011 was longer than it is now. There's something else going on that's affecting entries. I'm not sure what it is but I hope it turns around.
 
Well the reason I've never done the Coastal Cup is the delivery home. Fugly, and I can't take that much time off work.

And the flare requirements are cheaper. Picked up a fresh set at Coast Marine in SF today for $172 with tax. Good until 07/18.
 
Multi, Kristen was indeed handing out R-T-R shirts but she was on the other side of the room. They save any leftovers so you should be able to get one.

BTW, FacePlant just now forwarded a meeting reminder, which I posted on SSS's FB page on April 29th! Don't come tonight - we already had the meeting.
 
You did. I posted one in the "Write Something" box on SSS's FB page, just before you posted yours last week. Mine didn't appear until this morning.

Funny thing is, not two seconds later my phone rang. It was John Foster asking if I could stop by before I go to the meeting tonight. We're all c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d!

(Cue someone posting "There's a meeting tonight?")
