Hi Lucie,

I bought an older Motorola (9500 - still new, but not the latest model - cost $700 on eBay) and a 500 minute pre-paid card for about $1/min. Sold phone & accessories when I got back for what I paid, so was only out the $$ for the minutes. Worked out great for us, although all I used it for was to talk to LD every day. No data downloads, etc.
