SSB and other radio receptions

I have not done this race yet, like to hear from experienced sailor, about other radio stations receiver on the trip. How about the pacific net, or news and music from stations like BBC or DX'ing on short wave part of the SSB or HAM, what stations do you keep on dial to talk to other racers boats?????
