Greetings,

The SSS annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the Vallejo 1-2 trophy meeting on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:30 pm at the Oakland YC. Following distribution of the Vallejo 1-2 trophies the slate of officers for 2011 will be offered for approval by the membership. The 2011 slate is:

Commodore - Max Crittenden
Treasurer - Ruben Gabriel
Information Officer - Matt Beall
Membership Officer - John Foster
Race Officers - Jonathan Gutoff & Scott Prusso

Following the election, members of the SHTP class of 2010 will share stories with us about their experiences and the club will afford much deserved thanks and recognition to the SHTP race co-chairs and committee.

Please join us for this last gathering of the SSS for 2010. A good time will be had by all but it will be a cash bar so how much fun is up to each individual.

I may regret this, but ...

... the new Commodore will hang out for a while after the meeting to take input on SSS activities. Let's talk about it if you have any ideas along the lines of:

- What's not working in our races? How can we fix it?
- What would make the racing more fun?
- What would it take to get you to sign up for race committee?
- Activities other than races. Want to organize a cruise-out? How about a cruise-in?
- You are thinking about volunteering to chair the LongPac, right?
- Who would be a good speaker for a skippers meeting?
- Sign up your Jimmy Buffett tribute band to play a short set at a meeting!

If you think of a great idea on your way home after the meeting, post a topic or send me a private message through this forum.
