Cheers - SSS Technical InfrastructureWhile Joan and Alan were "End of Summer" hiking over an 11,000 foot pass in the Eastern Sierra, Annie and I were hiking in a different fashion at sea level. Here's the postcard.

Beautiful photos, bro! I remember so many happy times on that boat, in that location, swimming with the garibaldis and among long seaweed “trees” at one end of Howlands.
Thanks for sharing!

I see this object as a manifestation of paranoia :>)
Hi tech seat for a new PT Watercraft peddler? I love Marianne's Macapuno!! What is Marianne's macapuno?
I'll guess it's an aerodynamic masthead float to keep WF from turtling.
I was twitterpated over Surprise! at the time and have a nagging feeling that you told me about this plan while standing in your driveway.
If so, I join Howard and DSQ.

View attachment 3815 And why is this animal important to all SSS members?
I think a "whistle pig" is a groundhog or marmot. That's a hedgehog and true, German hedgehogs caused Mac's to change the McFlurry lids. And it looks like those quills are sharp.

But I don't know why hedgehogs are important to SSS'ers. Perhaps because they hibernate, a wandering hedgehog seen around the time we're waiting for 3BF results might indicate that the Corinthian and Round-the-Rocks races will have crummy weather.
