New Boat 4 Sled

I’m not sure you can have multiple winners if I give away the answer, so... I won’t. But I’d enjoy sharing some of that ice cream with all the other winners.

A hint: that French boat was ALL red.

Best, Tom

Skip, did you just receive a review copy of “All the Oceans” or did you know that little trivia tidbit all along? I’ll drive down just to see you scoot around on a walker made w bicycle parts. Did Howard help w that? Ah, the ingenuity of you!

I think I read on the forum previously about the Ponds colour for IMP.

Would love to confirm we have at least 3 winners of the quart of Marianne's ice cream sitting so tempting in the freezer...Alas it is not so.

The Ponds Cream lid is not the correct answer. The Ponds lid is the color "SALLY Green" chosen by the disinterested wife of the owner for her husband's beautiful 10 meter sloop SALLY when, in 1927, he asked her "what color shall we paint the new boat Dear?" (Sally Green is still available by special order.)

I cannot confirm or deny REVOLUTION was all red, as hinted by Dazzler. That hint could be a red herring. Nor can I yet confirm Gamayun is on the correct track with her rare, green-colored, peacock tarantula submission. I'll just say the full quart of Kahlua Krunch ice cream is still here for the taking with no spoons yet presented...keep those guesses coming.

Best of everything, big ‘bro, on this morning’s knee surgery. We are with you!
The cat up here (feline variety) is snoozing and sending healing wishes.

I guess #4 on Imp’s colors.

L’il Sis.

I thought maybe, if I called Skip right after his knee surgery, that he might, under the influence of massive doses of drugs, reveal the answer to the color of Imp. Because I like ice cream.

Accordingly, our brave sailor did indeed require massive doses of drugs but only the first night. Now he seems to have moved past that phase and is into the next phase: talking about how pretty are the nurses, how delicious the cheesecake and why would he want to leave the hospital? So when they told him he could be discharged today, a mere 20 hours past surgery, he said, "Ow! Ow! It hurts! It hurts!" and so they are letting him stay another night. IMPish indeed.

L’il Sis.

So:
a) Is Sis really just guessing?
b) Does she really know the answer?
c) Or just maybe she knows her big brother’s mind so well that she knows that the seemingly least likely answer is the one most likely to be correct.
d) And what does the number 25 have to do with the correct answer?

On Friday we will all know, and hopefully get a full report on the new knee.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Tom

Sorry for lateness, but my AT&T internet was down yesterday afternoon for 5 hours as it has been all week. A tech comes today, as well as a VNA Physical Therapist. Something will get a workout. Just not sure if it will be my new knee or the modem/router. Or both.

Here's the deal: I'm awarding 3 spoons for ice cream dipping for the correct answer to what was responsible for the IMP color scheme of gradations of green stripes.

First spoon is awarded to my dear sister, I do not know how she knew #4, the Christian Science Sentinel cover is the answer.

Second spoon is awarded to Capt. Bob in Sunset Beach, Hawaii who knew David Allen (no relation), owner of IMP, was a Christian Scientist, and chose IMP's color while reading the Sept.25, 1976 edition of the CSS.

The third spoon is awarded to DAZZLER, who knew the correct answer all along, and provided hints, including the hint REVOLUTION was all red as well as videos of the cover of the Christian Science Sentinel.

There were two correct answers after DAZZLER's reveal: DAYDREAMER and PJ's. But I can't in fairness award them spoons, as DAZZLER kindly posted video evidence of the correct answer.

Congrats Marilee, Bob, and Tom!

I actually watched the video after the quiz was posted, but missed the reveal the first time through.
After DAZZLER hinted, I watched it again for the aha.

Looks like it was a fun boat to be a part of!

It was a guess knowing the Allens (no relation, different spelling) were CS followers. I like Marianne’s ice cream.

And Skip, here is your great-grand niece on the beach at Wailea. Never dreamed I’d be a grandmom! Leila:
