I have enjoyed your contributions to the SSS forum. My prior boat was an S2 8.6 so I'm watching your prep with interest. Reach me a lee dot johnson at q dot com if you want to talk S2s.

I'm on the wrong coast, but there is so much good information on the SSS site that I just had to be a "fly on the wall." I am a single-handed sailor of a 1980 Kaiser Gale Force 34 named Pleione. The Gale Force is a full keeled cutter built to sail anywhere in the world. I hope to use those capabilities someday soon, but I still have a lot of skills to master before I am at her level. I am blessed to be located on Penobscot Bay, which can offer just about any kind of sailing experience you desire; rapid evasion from lobster pots being the toughest.
